  • You’ll be guided through movement, meditation, somatic practices, and journaling to deepen self-awareness and connect with your inner wisdom. These practices are designed to regulate the nervous system, open space for reflection, and support emotional healing and spiritual growth.

  • The 5 Element system—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—offers a powerful map for understanding how your body, emotions, and spirit mirror the rhythms of nature. You’ll learn to use this framework to decode imbalances and restore harmony in your life.

  • Discover the healing power of both local and Chinese herbs that support the organs and emotional qualities of each Element. You’ll learn how to safely incorporate these herbs into your daily life to promote balance, vitality, and holistic well-being.

WHAT DOES THE JOURNEY LOOK LIKE?

Over 8 biweekly sessions, we’ll move through the Chinese 5 Elements and their inner seasons. Each session explores how an Element relates to your physical body (organs), emotional patterns, and spiritual well-being. Through learning, contemplation, and embodied practice, you’ll reconnect with the natural rhythms within and around you

 

Session 1: Introduction to the Chinese 5 Elements – Understanding the Cycles of Nature

We begin with the foundational wisdom of the Chinese 5 Elements—Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—and how they mirror the rhythms of nature, our bodies, and emotions. You’ll explore the Generating and Controlling Cycles to understand how energy flows and transforms, both within and around you. This week sets the stage for aligning with nature’s wisdom and reclaiming inner balance.

Session 2: Water Element (Fear into Wisdom)

We explore the Water Element to reconnect with ancestral wisdom and your relationship to willpower, examining how the emotion of fear shows up in body, mind, and spirit. This week invites you to listen to fear’s deeper messages and transform it into clarity, trust, and inner guidance.

Session 3: Wood Element (Growth & Vision)

We explore the Wood Element and the emotion of anger—its roots, expressions, and how it can either block or fuel our growth. This week focuses on transforming anger into a source of clarity, healthy boundaries, and purposeful action.

Session 4: Fire Element (Expression & Connection)

We explore the Fire Element and the spirit of Shen, diving into the emotion of joy and its connection to the Heart. This week is about cultivating joy as a healing force—one that brings clarity, connection, and a deeper sense of purpose.

Session 5: Earth Element (Stability & Nourishment)

We explore the Earth Element as a source of nourishment, stability, and emotional balance through the rhythm of giving and receiving. This week invites you to root into practices that support digestion—of food, emotions, and experiences—while cultivating grounded strength and care.

Session 6: Metal Element (Refinement & Release)

We explore the Metal Element and the sacred art of letting go—releasing grief to create space for clarity, transformation, and renewal. This week centers on breath, boundaries, and the beauty of release as you learn to honor what’s ready to be shed and make room for what’s to come.

Session 7: Integration (Relationships and Conflict Resolution)

We apply the wisdom of the nourishing (Sheng) and controlling (Ke) cycles to our relationships, learning how the 5 Elements shape how we connect, communicate, and resolve conflict. This week offers tools for emotional regulation, boundary-setting, and creating more harmony—within yourself and in your connections with others.

Session 8: Closing & Continuation

We bring the journey full circle, reflecting on the wisdom of the 5 Elements and how they’ve shaped your healing, growth, and self-awareness. This final week is about honoring your transformation, integrating the tools you've gathered, and stepping forward with clarity, intention, and connection to the rhythm of life.
