How my journey began.
For the past several years, I've been on a profound journey of reconnecting with the ancient medicinal and spiritual practices of my ancestors. From a young age, I felt a pull towards the earth-based and spiritual traditions of indigenous peoples. After owning a yoga and dance studio, exploring cultural dance and movement in 25 countries, and delving into various certifications including personal training, yoga, meditation, and traditional Thai massage, I came to realize the transformative power of healing when mind, body, and spirit are harmonized in conducive environments.
Raised amidst modern dominant culture, I experienced a profound sense of disconnection from my heritage and identity. It became clear that this loss was a result of historical events where sacred teachings and healing practices were eroded over time. Understanding that these feelings of loss were manifestations of intergenerational trauma and soul wounds, I embarked on a journey of healing and reclamation.
My path took a pivotal turn when I underwent an intense ancestral journey at Naropa University and reconnected with an Indigenous Elder from Peru, Eda Lopez, whom I first met at the age of 12. Through her guidance, I ventured into the jungles of Peru for a transformative month-long healing ceremony. This experience awakened within me a deeper understanding of the shared struggles of many, grappling with ancestral trauma and seeking healing.
In parallel to this profound journey, I pursued my academic passion and graduated with a Masters of Science in Acupuncture Medicine and Chinese Herbal Medicine. Since then, my calling has been to provide a safe and empowering space for all individuals to reconnect with ancient teachings through Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine offerings, community engagement events, and educational workshops. Regardless of our backgrounds, the connection with nature is universal. My mission is to guide my community in nurturing the nature within, tending to our soul wounds, and reclaiming our innate self-awareness and identity, thereby empowering us to take control over our health and healing.
